Bredson + Associates, Inc. engineering design responsibility was for the Mechanical, Electrical,
Plumbing, and Fire Protection systems for a new 28,900 sq ft, 12 bed community hospital with
capability of expansion to a total of 24 beds.

The heating, ventilating, and air conditioning system is all electrical heating and DX cooling
controlled by an energy management system. Electrical distribution is a 120/208 Volts, three
phase, 4 wire system. An emergency generator provides power for the life safety, critical, and
equipment systems in the hospital. Medical gas systems, oxygen, vacuum, medical air and
nitrous, are piped throughout the hospital. The hospital is provided with a fully automatic
sprinkler system and an addressable fire alarm annunciation and detection system. The
following auxiliary systems are installed in the hospital: nurse call, public address, medical gas
alarm, and raceway for telephone, data and security.
