BARBARA L.S. HOPPAS, P.E.

Ms. Hoppas became a principal of Bredson + Associates, Inc. in 2004 and currently holds the
position of President. Barbara has 12 years of experience in the design of electrical and
lighting systems for institutional industrial, commercial and sports facilities including churches,
schools, casinos, arenas and stadiums. Barbara’s design experience includes power
distribution lighting, including specialty lighting, emergency power systems, grounding systems,
communication and alarm systems. Notable projects that Barbara served as designer and/or
Engineer of Record while with another firm include, DeVos Fieldhouse, Hope College in
Holland, Michigan, Jones SBC Stadium, Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas, FedEx
Forum in Memphis Tennessee, and Charlotte Arena in Charlotte, North Carolina. Barbara’s
responsibilities include head of electrical department, quality control of electrical drawings,
Engineer of Record for electrical portions of projects, and marketing & general overall running
of the corporation.
